Florida is one of the strangest SEO markets in the country, and most agencies that “cover Florida” clearly have never worked here.
Your demand doesn’t arrive evenly. It arrives in surges. A roofer in Fort Myers can have a quiet March and then do a year’s revenue in the six weeks after a storm crosses. A Naples restaurant lives or dies on whether the snowbirds found them in January. A Miami personal injury firm is competing in one of the most expensive search markets on the planet, where every competitor has a nine-figure ad budget and a TV jingle. And in three of your biggest metros, a large share of your customers search in Spanish first.
None of that shows up in a generic SEO plan. All of it shows up in your revenue.
I’ve been ranking sites since 2009, and I work with Florida businesses on Tilda all the time. This page is about what actually moves the needle here. If you want the platform-level picture first, start with my Tilda SEO service overview, which covers what Tilda can and can’t do before geography enters the picture.

Why Florida Search Behaves Differently
The state grew, and the SERP got harder
Florida added people faster than almost anywhere else in the country, and every one of them needed a dentist, a roofer, an HVAC tech and eventually a lawyer. That’s the good news.
The bad news is that everybody else noticed too. The competition that showed up in Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville over the last few years is not the competition that was there before. Businesses that ranked comfortably on a thin five-page site in 2019 quietly slid to page three and blamed Google.
If your Tilda site hasn’t been touched since you launched it, that’s most likely what happened to you.
Seasonality is a strategy, not a footnote
Most SEO plans treat the calendar as background noise. In Florida the calendar is the plan.
Hurricane season runs June through November. Roofing, restoration, tree service, generator installation, impact windows, insurance claim assistance. That content needs to be built, indexed, and already ranking in April. Not published the day the cone shows up on the news, because by then you’re competing with every out-of-state storm chaser who bought a domain and a Google Ads budget.
Snowbird season runs roughly November through April, and it changes who is searching in Naples, Sarasota, Palm Beach and the Space Coast. Different needs, different spending, different language. Property management, concierge medicine, home watch services, seasonal rentals, golf, dental work people put off up north.
Summer is when Florida residents actually book the discretionary stuff, because the seasonal crowd left and prices dropped.
I build the content calendar backward from those curves. Publish for the surge before the surge, because SEO takes months and hurricanes don’t wait for your indexing.
Spanish is not an afterthought
In Miami-Dade, Broward and large parts of Orlando and Tampa, a serious share of high-intent searches happen in Spanish. “Abogado de accidentes cerca de mí.” “Reparación de aire acondicionado.” “Dentista que acepta Medicaid.”
Most competitors do nothing about this. Some run a Google Translate widget and call it bilingual, which produces content Google treats as low quality and Spanish speakers find insulting.
Done properly on Tilda, this means genuinely written Spanish pages with their own URLs, their own title tags and meta descriptions, correct hreflang, and copy written by someone who understands the market rather than a machine. Tilda supports multilingual page structures. It just doesn’t do it for you.
For the right Florida business this is the single biggest untapped opportunity on the board. The same play works in Texas and across California, where Spanish-first demand is just as large and just as ignored.
What I Fix on Florida Tilda Sites
The pattern is remarkably consistent across the Florida Tilda sites I audit.
Gorgeous, silent homepage. Full-bleed video of the beach. Four words of copy. Google has no idea what you do or where.
No city pages, or fake ones. Either you only mention “South Florida,” which ranks for nothing, or you have twelve near-identical pages with the city name swapped, which Google ignores and may penalize.
Slow on mobile. Florida traffic is overwhelmingly mobile, frequently outdoors, frequently on a mediocre connection. Tilda animation blocks and uncompressed hero images produce a Largest Contentful Paint that costs you the click before your page finishes rendering.
Google Business Profile half-built. Wrong primary category, no service areas, no products, three reviews from 2021, no photos since launch. For a Florida local business the map pack is most of your revenue, and this is where it’s leaking.
No storm content. Or storm content that got published during the storm, when it was already too late to rank.
No schema. Tilda won’t generate it. Almost nobody hand-writes it. That’s an easy edge.
No Spanish. Covered above. Enormous gap in three major metros.
Florida Industries I Work With on Tilda
Personal injury and law firms
Miami legal search is a war. Fort Lauderdale and Tampa are close behind. You’re not beating the billboard firms on brand, so you beat them on depth, which is the one thing their bloated template sites are terrible at.
What I build: a real page per practice area with genuine Florida specifics. Florida’s comparative negligence rules and how the 2023 tort reform changed your case. The statute of limitations and how it changed. PIP and the 14-day rule, which almost nobody explains properly and everybody searches. Medical liens. What a contingency fee actually costs you in plain English.
Then the geography. Miami, Hialeah, Coral Gables, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville. Real pages, real courts, real local context.
Plus attorney bios with Florida Bar numbers and admission dates, LegalService and Attorney schema, and honest answer content for the 11pm searcher who is scared and not ready to call yet. Answer them completely and you get the call. Gate it and they leave.
Immigration, family law, real estate closings and HOA disputes are all live Florida verticals with much softer competition than PI, and much better margins per SEO dollar.
Roofers, restoration and contractors
The most seasonal, most competitive, most lucrative Florida vertical, and the one where good SEO produces the most obvious money.
What I build: service pages that match how people actually panic-search. “Roof leak repair,” “tile roof replacement,” “roof insurance claim denied,” “impact window installation,” “hurricane shutter installation,” “water damage restoration.” Then crossed with real cities you genuinely serve, written differently for each, because a tile roof in Coral Gables and a shingle roof in Ocala are not the same job.
Florida-specific trust content matters enormously here: your CBC or CCC license number on the page, Miami-Dade NOA product approvals if you’re in the wind zone, insurance claim navigation content, financing options, and what the 25 percent rule means for a repair versus a full replacement. That last one is searched constantly and explained almost nowhere.
Storm content built in spring, indexed by June, ranking by August. That’s the whole game.
HVAC, plumbing, electrical
Florida runs the AC roughly ten months a year, which means your emergency volume is year round and your buyer has zero patience.
Page speed is revenue here. If someone’s AC died in August in Orlando and your Tilda page takes six seconds to load on their phone, they’re already dialing your competitor. I strip Tilda block weight until that page loads fast on a bad connection in a hot house.
Then the Florida-specific content nobody else is writing. Salt air corrosion on coil and condenser units, which is a genuine coastal failure mode and a search with almost no good answer on the first page. Humidity control and mold remediation, which in Florida is an HVAC problem before it’s a restoration problem. Pool pump and pool heater work. Generator installation, which spikes on exactly the same curve as roofing. Duct condensation and attic sweating in a climate that runs 80% humidity for half the year.
Plus the structural basics: tap-to-call above the fold, neighborhood-level service area pages, after-hours pages, and maintenance plan pages, which are your recurring revenue and almost universally unoptimized.
Doctors, dentists and clinics
Florida’s population skew changes your entire keyword set. Medicare Advantage, joint replacement, cataract surgery, dermatology, cardiology, concierge medicine, dentures and implants. That’s not the same content mix you’d build in Austin.
What I build: named authorship with real credentials on every clinical page, because Google holds health content to the highest standard there is. Physician schema. Insurance and in-network information stated plainly, because it’s the actual first question and almost every practice site buries it. Condition and procedure pages written by someone who understands the procedure. New patient information. Real cost ranges and real recovery expectations.
For snowbird markets, seasonal patient content: records transfer, continuity of care, what to do if your prescriptions are managed up north. Nobody writes this. Everybody searches it.
Med spas, wellness and aesthetics
Florida med spa search is brutal in Miami and Boca and wide open in most of the rest of the state. Tilda is genuinely popular in this vertical because the sites look beautiful. They also usually rank for nothing, because they’re all photos and no words.
What I build: a distinct page per treatment, not a scrolling menu. Botox, filler, laser hair removal, body contouring, IV therapy, hormone therapy, microneedling, hydrafacial. Each one with honest price ranges, because that’s the number one question and the number one thing every competitor hides. Downtime and aftercare. Before-and-after galleries with real alt text. Medical director credentials, since Florida has specific supervision requirements and patients search for exactly that.
Plus the comparison layer that drives most of the traffic: “Botox vs Dysport,” “coolsculpting vs emsculpt,” “is laser hair removal worth it.” Those bring people in weeks before they book.
Real estate, property management and home services
Florida’s market is entirely about hyperlocal knowledge. Neighborhood pages, condo building pages, HOA content, flood zone and insurance content, 40-year recertification in Miami-Dade and Broward. Property managers can own home watch, hurricane prep and seasonal rental content that gets searched hard and covered by almost nobody.
Everyone else
Pest control, landscaping, pool service, marine services, boat detailing, event businesses, restaurants, fitness studios, pet services, nonprofits. Same framework. Different entity map. All of it built fresh for you rather than pulled off a shelf.
Florida Cities I Build For
I work across every Florida market, but the regions don’t behave the same way, so the content doesn’t either. Here’s where I build and what actually drives search in each one.
Region |
Cities I build pages for |
What drives the SERP here |
|---|---|---|
Miami-Dade |
Miami, Miami Beach, Hialeah, Coral Gables, Doral, Aventura, Homestead |
The most competitive legal and aesthetics SERPs in the state, and the heaviest Spanish-first search demand in the country outside Puerto Rico. |
Broward & Palm Beach |
Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Pembroke Pines, Pompano Beach, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Delray Beach, Jupiter |
Wealthy, high-ticket, seasonal. Med spa, dental, concierge medicine and PI all compete hard. Strong Spanish demand in Broward. |
Tampa Bay |
Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Brandon, Riverview, Wesley Chapel |
Fastest-hardening SERP in Florida. Businesses that ranked on thin sites in 2019 have quietly slid to page three here. |
Central Florida |
Orlando, Kissimmee, Winter Park, Lakeland, Sanford, Altamonte Springs |
Tourism plus a large permanent population. HVAC runs year round. Growing Spanish-language demand. |
Southwest Florida |
Naples, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Bonita Springs, Sarasota, Bradenton, Port Charlotte |
Snowbird-driven. Storm recovery and restoration volume is enormous. Seasonal content calendar matters more here than anywhere. |
Northeast Florida |
Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Daytona Beach, Gainesville, Ocala, Palm Coast |
Noticeably softer competition than South Florida. A well-built contractor or clinic site can own these markets fast. |
Treasure & Space Coast |
Port St. Lucie, Stuart, Vero Beach, Melbourne, Palm Bay, Titusville |
Under-served SERPs with real search volume. Aerospace employment on the Space Coast changes the B2B keyword set. |
North Florida & Panhandle |
Tallahassee, Pensacola, Panama City, Destin, Fort Walton Beach |
Genuinely soft competition. Hurricane and rebuild content is a live, high-value opportunity across the whole region. |
The Keys |
Key West, Key Largo, Marathon, Islamorada |
Tiny, tourism-driven and almost entirely uncontested. Very cheap to own if you’re actually based there. |
Every one of those city pages gets written separately. Real local context, real landmarks, real market conditions. A tile roof in Coral Gables and a shingle roof in Ocala are different jobs, and the page should say so. Google can spot a swapped city name instantly, and so can your customer.
If your town isn’t in that table, it’s not a problem — it just means I haven’t built enough in it yet to say something specific about the market, and I’d rather admit that than pretend.
The Florida Map Pack
For most Florida local businesses, the map pack is the business. Three listings above the regular results capture the overwhelming majority of calls and direction requests.
Google decides those three on relevance, prominence and proximity. I work all three.
Relevance: the profile has to reflect Florida’s calendar, not just your business. That means seasonal services actually listed and toggled — storm tarping, board-up, generator install, water extraction — so they’re live on the profile before the season rather than added the week you need them. Primary category corrected, which is the highest-impact field and the one I find wrong most often. And in Miami-Dade and Broward, a profile description and service list that exist in Spanish as well as English, because a bilingual profile ranks in both languages and a translated one ranks in neither.
Prominence: review velocity systems that produce steady five-star reviews instead of a burst and then silence. Keyword-aware review responses. NAP-consistent citations across the Florida directories Google actually trusts. Local links from real Florida sources, chambers, associations, sponsorships, press.
Proximity: you can’t move your building, but you can build geo-targeted pages on your Tilda site that anchor your map rankings to genuine content, and you can structure service areas so you show up where you actually work.
Photos matter more than people think, especially in Florida where visual verification drives trust. Fresh photos monthly. Real ones.

Florida Tilda SEO FAQ
Can a Tilda website rank in competitive Florida markets like Miami?
Yes, but be realistic about timelines. Miami personal injury or Boca med spa will take longer and need more content and links than a contractor in Ocala. The platform isn’t the constraint. Content depth and authority are. I’ll give you a straight assessment of your specific market on the call.
How long does Florida SEO take?
Early movement in 4 to 8 weeks. Meaningful gains typically month 3 to 6. Competitive metros like Miami and Tampa run longer than secondary markets. Storm-season content needs a 4 to 6 month head start, which is why we build it in spring.
Do you build Spanish-language pages on Tilda?
Yes. Genuinely written Spanish pages with their own URLs, meta tags and hreflang, not a translate widget. In Miami-Dade, Broward and parts of Orlando and Tampa this is frequently the highest-return work available.
I’m a roofer. When should I start?
Yesterday, and if not yesterday then March. Storm content needs months to index and rank. Starting in August means you’re publishing into a SERP that’s already decided.
Do you work with Florida law firms on Tilda?
Yes. Practice area depth, Florida-specific legal content, attorney bios with Bar credentials, LegalService schema, city pages, and honest pre-consultation answer content. Legal is Google’s most scrutinized commercial vertical, so thin content simply won’t move.
Does my Google Business Profile matter more than my website?
For a local Florida business, your GBP drives more calls. But your website is what makes the GBP rank, because Google reads relevance and prominence signals from your site. They work together. I do both.
How much does Tilda SEO cost in Florida?
Plans start at $80 a month, full overhaul is $999 one-time. Competitive metro campaigns get scoped individually.
Should I rebuild off Tilda?
Usually no. Most Florida service businesses under 40 pages can rank fine on Tilda. I’d rather you spend the rebuild money on content and links. If you genuinely need to move, I’ll tell you on the first call.
Tilda SEO in Other States
Every state SERP behaves differently. If you operate outside Florida, or across state lines, these go just as deep:
- Tilda SEO Service — the platform-level hub covering what Tilda can and can’t do.
- California Tilda SEO — six distinct metros and the heaviest AI-search adoption in the country.
- Tilda SEO service in New York — block-level NYC search plus a badly undervalued upstate.
- Texas Tilda SEO — hail season, sprawl and suburb-level targeting.
Ready to actually get found in Florida?
Book a free reservation. I’ll pull up your Tilda site during the call, show you what Google currently understands about your business, and tell you honestly where you stand against your real Florida competition.
