SEO Services in Pakistan – Lahore, Karachi & Islamabad

Most Pakistani businesses compete on price because being found first is not on the table. Search is how that changes.

How a Pakistani business starts ranking

Three stages. Most local sites stall at the second one, because nobody ever told Google what the business does or which city it serves.

  1. Your pages exist

The site is live, the design is right, and a human reading it understands the offer straight away.

  2. ?

Google cannot tell what it is, or where

Nothing declares the service or the area, so the crawler infers both from thin signals and gets both wrong.

  3. The service and the area get declared

Schema, entity mapping, local signals and internal structure state both what you do and where you do it. Local relevance follows from that.

Not sure which stage your site is stuck at? A 20 minute review will tell you, at no cost and with no obligation.

Most Pakistani businesses that come to me have already paid someone for SEO. Usually they got a monthly report full of numbers, a handful of backlinks from sites nobody reads, and no new customers.

That experience has made a lot of owners cynical, and fairly so. This page is about what actually works in this market, and how I work.

What Makes SEO in Pakistan Different

Search happens in two languages at once

Commercial searches here are mostly typed in English: “best dentist in Lahore”, “solar installation price”. But informal and voice searches drift into Roman Urdu, and a lot of buyers switch between the two without thinking about it.

Most local sites only ever target one. Covering both properly picks up traffic your competitors are not even bidding for.

The map pack is the whole game for local business

For a clinic, a restaurant, a law firm or a repair service, the three listings Google shows above the results take almost all the calls. Yet a large share of Pakistani businesses either have no Google Business Profile or one that was set up once and abandoned.

This is genuinely the cheapest win available in this market, and it is the first thing I check.

Mobile-first is not a slogan here

The overwhelming majority of your visitors are on a phone, often on mobile data rather than broadband. A site that loads acceptably on a laptop in an office can be unusable for the customer you actually want. Page weight matters more here than in most markets.

Competition is thinner than you think

This is the good news. Outside a few crowded niches, the businesses ranking above you are often doing very little. A properly structured site with real content and a maintained profile can move quickly, because the bar is low.

Cities I Work In

I work remotely with businesses in Faisalabad, Multan, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Sialkot, Gujranwala and elsewhere too. Location only matters for local SEO; everything else is the same job.

Who I Work With

Local service businesses

Clinics, salons, law firms, repair services, tuition centres, restaurants. Map pack first, then service pages that answer the questions people actually ask before calling.

E-commerce

Product and category pages that can rank, sensible structure, and content that captures people researching before they buy rather than only those ready to check out.

Exporters and B2B

Textiles, surgical instruments, sports goods, software services. These sell abroad, so the SEO target is international buyers rather than local search, a different job that many local agencies do not distinguish.

Freelancers and agencies

If you sell on Fiverr or Upwork, a site that ranks builds the credibility and inbound flow those platforms cannot. I have written a good deal about that side of things on the blog.

What the Work Involves

  • Technical foundation: speed, mobile, crawlability, indexation.
  • Google Business Profile: correct primary category, complete services, review strategy.
  • Content built on topics rather than keyword repetition. See semantic SEO.
  • Bilingual coverage where your customers genuinely search both ways.
  • Authority through real links, not directory spam.
  • AI search visibility, GEO is early here, which is exactly why it is cheap to win now.

What Does Not Work Here

Most SEO advice online is written for the US market. Some of it transfers and some of it actively wastes your money.

English-only content

A large share of real queries arrive in Roman Urdu, meaning Urdu words typed in English letters. If your pages only contain formal English, you are invisible for the way people actually search.

Treating the phone as secondary

Most local enquiries here arrive by call or WhatsApp, not a contact form. A page optimised to capture email addresses converts far worse than one that makes the number tappable.

Desktop-first design

Traffic is overwhelmingly mobile, often on modest devices and uneven connections. A heavy page does not just rank worse, it loses the visitor before it loads.

Chasing national keywords first

Ranking for a broad national term is slow and expensive. City and area terms convert better and arrive months sooner.

How Engagements Usually Run

Practical detail, because this is the part people hesitate to ask about.

Work is monthly with no long lock-in. You can stop, and what has been done stays done. I would rather you leave than stay resentful of a retainer that is not producing.

Reporting is in plain language and covers what moved, what did not, and what happens next. If you would rather have a short call than a document, that is fine and usually more useful.

Payment is by bank transfer, and I invoice in advance for the month. For international clients I also work through the usual online routes.

Communication is on WhatsApp for anything quick, because that is how business actually gets done here, and email for anything that needs a record.

Common Questions

How much does SEO cost in Pakistan?

Local agencies quote anywhere from a few thousand rupees a month to several hundred dollars. The cheap end almost always means directory submissions and spun content, which does nothing. My plans start at $80 a month and I will tell you on the call whether that is enough for your market or whether you need more.

How long before I see results?

Early movement in four to eight weeks, meaningful gains usually month three to six. Local map pack results often come faster because the profile work is quick and most competitors have neglected theirs.

Do you guarantee #1 rankings?

No, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Nobody controls Google. What I will give you is a straight assessment of what is achievable in your market before you spend anything.

Do you work with businesses outside the big three cities?

Yes. Remote work is the norm, and smaller cities are often easier to rank in because almost nobody is competing properly.

Will you work with a very small business?

Yes, if search demand exists for what you sell. If nobody searches for it, I will tell you that on the first call rather than take a retainer.

Do I need a new website first?

Usually not. Most sites here are fixable, and a rebuild is the expensive answer to a problem that is often structural rather than technical.

Can you help with content in Urdu?

Yes, and for many local businesses a mix is the right answer. Which mix depends on how your buyers actually search, which is something I check rather than assume.
